Rogelio T. Gloria is running for United States Senator of California 2012. Mr. Gloria is a former U.S. Naval Lieutenant (O-3) who served from 1985 to 2003. He has also worked in the federal government.
Rogelio Gloria was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Rogelio was raised in a low to middle class hard working, one income, and military family, and basically has lived in various states. He graduated from North Charleston High School in Charleston, South Carolina, and joined the U.S. Navy as Seaman. Eventually, He got accepted into ROTC and earned a degree in Astronomy from San Diego State University. He received his surface warfare training at Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado, CA. Upon graduation in 1989, Ensign Gloria reported to a combat ship home ported in Long Beach, CA. He was reserve naval officer during the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) of U.S. military in Los Angeles County.
While in the reserve in 1990’s, LT Gloria received a master degree and eventually work in several defense industry corporation (Boeing, McDonald Douglas, Teladyne Ryan, SAIC and Northrop Grumman) by providing military and logistic engineering support. After his time in the military, he worked on a second master degree in Washington, Metro area while working for the Federal Government. He has received that second master in 2007. He is presently finishing up a PHD degree.
While attending the University of Maryland, Rogelio Gloria has worked at the Naval Research Lab, the Defense Information System Agency, White House Communication Agency, Department of Commerce and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He has lived at 201 I St, Washington, DC where he also worked on the National Baseball stadium during third party verification for cost control analysis and also as a developmental research engineer of an upgraded CDMA/GSM cell phone system for Congress as well as on the baseball stadium. He has also done cost control analysis of US Budgetary Expenditures for the Department of Defense for over ten years since his first master degree as a BRAC officer at Long Beach Naval Shipyard, Long Beach Naval Station and Carson Naval Hospital. Presently, the Port of Long Beach/San Pedro was one of most successful "new" revenues sources for the Federal Government since the mid 1990's. From his low to middle class background, Rogelio Gloria is a strong financial conservative whose priorities include basic constitutional right for all Americans; fiscal responsibility to protect taxpayers and infrastructure improvements in government. Rogelio has learned to save a lot or go without. He has done a great deal of work in military reserve as well in the academic environment where he has provided logistic support in areas of Base Closure, Veteran Benefits, Job Growth, Education, Information Technology, Training and Revenue development. He has also developed several computer programs and applications during his career which were advantageous to the federal government as well as the world.
